The Korean-Standard Postpartum Care

In Korea,

"산후조리"

(san-hu-jo-ri)

Postpartum care – is considered a deliberately structured period of rest. During the San-hu-jo-ri phase, the baby is carefully cared for while the mother receives full support to physically recover and stabilize her mental well-being.

The first San-hu-jo-ri center in Korea was established in 1996. After 30 years of continuous development and specialization, the postpartum care center model has become an essential service, with up to 85% of Korean women and newborns having experienced or currently using it.

The modern Korean San-hu-jo-ri model combines the traditional practice of deep postpartum recovery with medical and scientific expertise in obstetrics and pediatrics to provide comprehensive care for both mothers and babies.

The modern San-hu-jo-ri model focuses on 4 core principles

Maternal Care

Postpartum Maternal Support

A care program based on natural recovery principles and comprehensive support for mothers, focusing on structured and scientific breastfeeding education.

Adequate Nutrition

Specialized Recovery Nutrition

A scientifically designed diet using high-quality ingredients ensures a balance of micronutrients and energy tailored to the postpartum condition of mothers.

Milestone Management

Newborn Development Support and Monitoring

A newborn care program based on non-invasive approaches, focusing on structured breastfeeding management, monitoring healthy infant development, and maintaining a strictly hygienic care environment to prevent infection risks.

Activities

Restorative & Connecting Activities

A system of physical and mental recovery activities is prepared for mothers before and after birth, including relaxation therapies such as massage, foot baths, warm compress therapy, herbal baths, and more; helping the body restore balance and regenerate energy quickly.
In addition, movement-based therapies such as yoga, pilates, functional recovery exercises, and arts & crafts classes help nurture positive emotional well-being too.

Peace of Mind

Comes from a Consistent Process

SAFETY

The entire center is designed and operated according to Korea’s strict hygiene and infection control standards, while adapting to Vietnam’s climate conditions.

HYGIENE

Care areas are clearly separated, with dedicated movement pathways and distinct procedures in place to minimize the risk of cross-contamination.

INFECTION CONTROL

Each baby’s care tools are managed through an individual identification system. All care products are carefully selected, prioritizing organic sources and high safety standards.
